Who Can Make a Will
A person may make a valid will if, at the time the will is made, the person:
is 19 years of age or older
unless:
the person is a member of the regular force (army)
is a member of another component of the Canadian Forces and is, at the time of the making of the will,
is a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police
is a mariner at sea or in the course of a voyage; and
the person must still have the capacity to make a will
has the mental capacity to make a will.
