Sick Leave
If an employee has worked for an employer for at least two weeks, they can take time off work without pay if they're sick, injured, or have a medical emergency.
The employee can take up to three days of leave each year.
They must let their employer know before taking the leave, and if they can't, they should do so as soon as possible.
If they leave work part-way through the day, it counts as a whole day.
The employer may ask for proof that the employee is entitled to the leave.
If the employee takes paid or unpaid leave under their employment contract, it counts as their leave entitlement.
