When hiring a new employee, the employer cannot ask for the employee's wage history or require that it meets any specific criteria.
if the employee voluntarily discloses their wage history and gives written authorization, the employer can confirm it.
Declaration Between Employees
Employers cannot prohibit employees from discussing or disclosing wage information with each other.
Declaration of employers’ finances
An employee whose job functions relate to the employer's finances or human resources cannot disclose wage information unless the employee
gives written authorization,
the information is a matter of public record,
the disclosure is within their job functions, or
the disclosure is required by law.
