Payment of rent

The tenant is responsible to pay the rent owed to the landlord at the times that are set out in the rental agreement

Cleanliness of premise

The tenant is responsible for keeping their rental home clean and tidy. If the tenant or someone they allow to be in the home intentionally or carelessly damages something, they are responsible for fixing it.

Replacing locks

Neither the landlord nor the tenant can change or replace the locks on any doors that lead to the rental property without the agreement of the other party. This means that the tenant cannot change the locks without telling the landlord, and the landlord cannot change the locks without telling the tenant unless they both agree.

Rights of Privacy

The tenant should respect the rights and privacy of the landlord and other tenants living in the rental property, as well as any shared areas or property. The tenant should not do anything that unreasonably disturbs or bothers the landlord or other tenants.
