Who Can Make a Will?
If someone is under 19 years old, they can't make a valid will unless they are:
married,
in the Canadian Forces, or
a mariner or seaman.
If they are in one of those categories, they can make a valid will.
If someone in one of those categories makes a will while under 19, a certificate signed by someone in charge of records proving that the person was in the category is enough to prove that the will is valid.
If someone under 19 makes a will under these circumstances, they can still change their mind and cancel the will if they want to.
