Sick Leave
If an employee has worked for an employer for more than 90 days, the employer must allow the employee to take up to five days of sick leave without pay in a 12-month period.
If the leave is for four or more consecutive days, the employer may require a medical certificate.
The employee must let the employer know how long the leave will be. The employer's obligations under this section are separate from their obligations under other workers' compensation laws.
