Court Leave
If an employee is called to serve on a jury, selected to serve on a jury, or summoned to attend a hearing as a witness, their employer must give them time off from work without pay.
If the employer chooses to give the employee time off with pay, they can ask the employee to pay back any money they receive as a jury or witness fee (except for travel, meal, or accommodation expenses).
