Wrongful termination occurs when an employer terminates an employee:

• without the required notice;

• without the required pay in lieu of notice;

• without reasonable cause; or

• other violations of the termination procedure

If an employee experiences wrongful termination, an employee may be entitled to compensation through a formal employment complaint or legal action.
