Bereavement Leave

An employee who has worked for at least 30 days can take up to three days of unpaid leave if a family member.

The employee must tell their employer how much leave they need and when they will take it, and must provide evidence of their entitlement to the leave if the employer asks for it.

If the employee takes only part of a day off, the employer can count that as one day of leave.
